You could pursue a Bachelor of Applied Science (Project Management, or Construction Management) at university.

It’s best to check with the university of your choice about pathways, credit transfer and other points required before you enrol with us.

Course prerequisites

There aren’t any formal prerequisites. But to make sure you get the most out of training with us, the following enrolment process applies:

Once we receive your enrolment, our friendly course consultants will touch base to undertake a pre-training review to ensure the training is right for you.
For students without an equal or higher level qualification, there’s a short language, literacy and numeracy quiz you complete online.

What equipment will I need?

You will need access to the following equipment to successfully complete the course:

Working computer with Microsoft Office (2016 or later)
Access to the internet
Access to a smartphone, video camera or web camera is required

Am I eligible for recognition of prior learning (RPL) or credit transfer (CT)?

Exploring the supporting functions of project management

Delivering, Closing and Reviewing Projects

Course Duration

This course is designed to be completed within 12 months however Monarch’s training plan allows you to take up to 24 months. You’re expected to complete at least one module every six months.

There is no minimum timeframe to complete this course. Students who are highly motivated and well organised can complete the full course at an accelerated pace.

The most cost-effective option. Pay up front and save 20% compared to the total payment plan. Payment options include electronic funds transfer (EFT), credit card (Mastercard or Visa), cheque or cash.

Payment plan

$143.08 per week, paid over 26 weeks (total $3,720)

This option is suitable for students wanting to manage their cash flow. It’s handy if you want to get started right away, but don’t have the full amount on hand. Payment must be made with MasterCard or Visa.

For many years, I’ve worked in IT, moving from applications to data management. I’ve created and taught IT courses and developed some on the management of IT projects. That’s when I discovered project management and soon realised that there are many people managing projects, but very few who know what they are supposed to be doing.

I believe that those who know much about managing their projects are still a minority; and if you really understand project management, you can achieve so much more in satisfying stakeholders and delivering benefits. Project management is complex and rewarding.

I am a fellow of the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM) and a member and active participant in several professional associations.

I taught vocational and university-level Project Management for over 10 years and is a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI) and Association for Talent Development (ATD). I also have 7 years experience as a HR Specialist and HR Senior Leader in the 20th Largest Organisation in the world (from 2012-2019)
