You’ll learn to apply AI tools to the work you already do, covering prompt engineering, content production, data analysis and forecasting. Organisations across many sectors are adopting AI tools, so knowing how to use them effectively can strengthen your capabilities in roles where AI is becoming part of everyday work. You’ll also study AI ethics and critical thinking, which help you judge when the technology suits a task and when it doesn’t. That judgement matters as much as the technical skill, since AI tools produce confident output whether or not it’s correct.

We designed this diploma for people in business roles who want to work more efficiently with AI tools. Managers, business owners and non-IT professionals may find it to be a good fit, especially if your organisation has started adopting AI and you want to lead that work. Year 11 or equivalent is recommended, if you’d like to enrol, although not mandatory. Your technical background matters less than your interest in applying AI to your own work, since the AI course covers the tools without requiring you to develop them.

Yes. You’ll study online with our course materials, following a 12-month study timetable or taking up to two years at your own pace. You’ll complete short-answer questions, multiple-choice questions and recorded roleplays as assessments. Your trainer will be available to support you via email, phone or Zoom from 9am to 5.30pm, Monday through Friday.

Yes. Four of the eight units apply AI directly to business operations, customer experience, data forecasting and a brand’s digital presence. You’ll also learn to identify where AI, machine learning and deep learning could help an organisation, so you can spot the opportunities in your own workplace. The course introduces prompt engineering early, helping you learn how to give AI tools clearer instructions and assess the usefulness of their outputs. Everything after that builds on how well you can direct them.

No. We built this diploma for non-technical professionals, so you’ll learn to use AI tools without developing them yourself. You’ll need Year 11 or equivalent to enrol, plus a working computer with Microsoft Office 2016 or later and internet access. If you’ve never used a generative AI tool before, the first module starts with prompt engineering and takes you through the fundamentals. Our course consultants will talk through your background with you before you start.

Yes. You have up to two years to finish, and you’ll choose your own hours, so you can go faster when work is slow and take a break from your studies when it gets busy. Our 12-month study timetable suits you if you can commit regular time each week. Since units apply AI to business situations, you can often test what you learn against your current job as you go. How quickly you finish will depend on your previous study and the hours you have available.

This diploma can suit you if you want practical, business-focused AI skills rather than a technical development pathway. You’ll be able to apply AI tools to content, data, operations and customer experience and be able to judge where they add value. It also works well if you’re responsible for how a team or organisation adopts AI, since you’ll cover the ethics and critical thinking that decision needs.
