Course Topics

You’ll need to study a total of 12 units, which are spread out over four modules.


Module 1

Intro to HR

To get started, you’ll cover some HR fundamentals. This includes wrapping your head around basic HR functions and processes, and building productive business relationships. You’ll also learn about recruiting new employees and how to successfully bring them on board.


Module 2

Leading People Processes

A big part of HR is helping employees be the best they can possibly be. For this module, first you’ll learn how to confidently lead projects in the workplace. Next you will gain the skills and knowledge to oversee professional development and learning, which will help both employees and your organisation grow.


Module 3

Industrial Relations and Terminations

As a HR professional, sometimes you will need to call on your peacekeeping skills. This module covers the legislation surrounding employee and industrial relations, including how to resolve conflicts. You will also find out about the best practices for coordinating the separation and termination of employees, and how to lead difficult conversations at work.


Module 4

HR Operations

In your final module, you’ll further sharpen your skillset with some important operations knowledge. You’ll find out about Workplace Health & Safety procedures and programs, and how to improve communication for yourself and others in the workplace. Then you will learn all about the latest digital technologies which allow employees to work together effectively.

Course Duration

This course is designed to be completed within 12 months however you have up to 24 months to complete the course.

There is no minimum timeframe to complete this course. Students who are highly motivated and well organised can complete the full course at an accelerated pace.

Payment plan

$122.31 per week, paid over 26 weeks (total $3,180)

I’m currently a third-year Executive MBA candidate at RMIT University with a focus on managing technology and innovation strategy. In my spare time, I can be found on the tennis court or soaking in an ice bath.

I’ve also led Australia-wide, APAC regional and global projects within the past 7 years as a senior manager in one of the world’s largest organisations. I taught vocational and university-level Project Management for over 10 years and is a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI) and Association for Talent Development (ATD). I also have 7 years experience as a HR Specialist and HR Senior Leader in the 20th Largest Organisation in the world (from 2012-2019)
