Course Topics

Module 1

Data Strategy (3hr 59min).

Long before you start writing the content for your email campaign you need to start with a solid idea on what it is you plan to send and what the purpose of the email will be. In the starting module, we’ll take you through the fundamentals of data strategy when it comes to email. Including the in and outs of managing your data and utilising audience segmentation.

In this module, you’ll learn how to develop an email strategy, grow your subscriber list, manage your email data and ensure you are aware of any legal requirements before you press send on your email marketing campaign.


Module 2

Crafting Content and Managing Time (2hr 11min)

What makes someone with an overflowing email inbox choose to open your email? And when they do open the email what makes them take action and read your content? In this module, we dive deeper into the world of email marketing with a super practical guide that will have you creating an effective email from scratch before you know it.

You’ll discover the anatomy of an effective marketing email, explore how to craft the perfect subject line and how to create content in a time effective manner.


Module 3

Creativity and Designing Content (2hr 24min)

Want to discover how to create the right first impression with your email design? While the content of your email is important, having an email that looks good can make all the difference. In this module, we’ll share with you the fundamentals of making your email look professional, on-brand and polished. Plus ensure it renders well across all devices and screen sizes.

As you explore this unit, you’ll discover how to enhance your creativity, get your brand design foundations down pat, explore graphic design best practice and how to optimise your emails for mobile. As well as designing your emails with integrated email features.


Module 4

Testing, Optimisation, and Automation (2hr 21min)

Once you’ve got a few email campaigns under your belt and know what floats your customer’s boat, it’s time to put some of your email marketing campaigns on autopilot. While it won’t always be suitable, there are a heap of modern email marketing automation options for you to take advantage of. In this module, you’ll discover how you can automate your emails while still ensuring you leave time to test and optimise your strategy as things evolve.

You’ll learn how to test your email campaigns and receive a practical guide to the top email marketing automation tools at your fingertips. As well as getting an understanding of the key concepts of marketing automation and discovering what email metrics all good email marketers are tracking.

Course Duration

This course is designed to be completed within 11 hours.

There is no minimum timeframe to complete this course. Students who are highly motivated and well organised can complete the full course at an accelerated pace.

I’ve worked in various digital marketing and business development roles for regional airlines, hotels and cruise liners. I managed a hot air balloon business, Global Ballooning Australia which took me around the world as I helped launch the experience to the international market.  I penned what I learned in a self-published book, Adventures of a Balloon Girl.

In 2014 I followed my calling to teach and became a certified trainer and assessor launching my own training and mentoring practice. Since launching I have developed over 30 online and group training programs specialising in digital, social media marketing, and tourism. Creating and delivering these programs to empower business owners and marketing professionals to be their own media and step up their marketing greatness fills me up.

What gets me out of bed in the morning?

Igniting excellence in people! I love spending time with my family and using all the digital tools available to help business and careers grow. What really gets me out of bed most mornings though is my 4.30am alarm. I love to start the day with a morning run or strength training to keep me fit and energised.
