Course Topics

Module 1

Getting Started with Search Ranking (1hr 10min)

We start off with the basic pillars of SEO and how they interact together to help your website get to page 1 in the search engine results. We’ll cover the funanelats of SEO and provide you with a complete guide to on-page and off-page SEO.

The course also covers how the SEO world is always evolving and how you can best respond to these changes. Joe Williams also shares how you can improve your search presence and we provide a visual guide for you to reference the key elements of SEO.

Module 2

Problem Solving and Improving Website Performance (1hr 40min)

The technical aspects of a website are often overlooked when it comes to gaining a general understanding of SEO. But this area is a vital factor in ensuring your website performance is looked upon favourably by search engines.

In this practical module you’ll learn how to improve your website’s technical SEO, lead with a mobile first approach and discover how to create mobile friendly content that helps your website visitors dwell on the site for longer (which gives a nice little SEO signal to Google that your website is doing its job).

Module 3

Optimising On-Page and Content Performance (2hrs 30min)

SEO itself is often considered a meeting between art and science. When it comes to the on-page optimisation of your content, this is where the art and creativity side of things shines. In this module, we focus on how you can improve your SEO performance with great content and on-page SEO optimisation.

You’ll learn about the importance of keyword research and how to weave keywords into your copy. Plus you’ll have at your disposal a practical On-Site SEO Audit Handbook and Toolkit. There is also a webinar presentation on voice search.

Module 4

Collaboration: Enhancing Off-Page and Local SEO

One of the reasons a lot of business owners, and even marketers, put SEO into the too hard basket is because they don’t see results straight away. The reason for this is that there are factors outside of your own website that affect your rankings.

In this module we explore the off-page elements of SEO that are critical to getting your website found. We explore successful collaborations to achieve the best results and you’ll learn how to improve your local SEO.

A Guest Blogging Guide and Toolkit is included as well as information on Google Maps.

Module 5

Strategy and Evaluating Performance

In this final module, you’ll be equipped with how you can implement strategic SEO practices. We then dive into making sure you can measure your results and know that all your hard work is paying off.

In this module we bring everything you’ve learned about SEO so far and arm you with the ability to measure and report on your SEO efforts. An SEO webinar and Q&A by Joe Williams is also included.

“Learning is an experience. Everything else is just information.”
- Albert Einstein

I’ve worked in various digital marketing and business development roles for regional airlines, hotels and cruise liners. I managed a hot air balloon business, Global Ballooning Australia which took me around the world as I helped launch the experience to the international market.  I penned what I learned in a self-published book, Adventures of a Balloon Girl.

In 2014 I followed my calling to teach and became a certified trainer and assessor launching my own training and mentoring practice. Since launching I have developed over 30 online and group training programs specialising in digital, social media marketing, and tourism. Creating and delivering these programs to empower business owners and marketing professionals to be their own media and step up their marketing greatness fills me up.

What gets me out of bed in the morning?

Igniting excellence in people! I love spending time with my family and using all the digital tools available to help business and careers grow. What really gets me out of bed most mornings though is my 4.30am alarm. I love to start the day with a morning run or strength training to keep me fit and energised.
