Why Monarch Institute?
Choosing an education partner isn’t a decision to be made lightly. So what do you need to know?
Monarch Institute was started by a group of professionals who wanted to change how training addresses industry demands.
Our founding philosophy is ‘education for the real world’. And we don’t just talk the talk. We start with the outcomes that real employers want, and work backward from there. We don’t believe in courses based purely on intellectual theory and textbook stuff. Courses are delivered by respected professionals who continue to lead in their fields. You’ll benefit from their expertise from the moment you start learning.
As a registered training organisation, we’ve trained over 10,000 students across a range of nationally recognised and accredited courses. But they’re also designed to give you street cred in the industry of your choice. Learn industry-specific software, take on realistic case studies, and get job-ready from day one.
Studying shouldn’t be a chore. Our simple, intuitive online learning platform allows you to study in your own time, at your own pace. Read a few pages on public transport. Try a quiz on your lunch break at work. Watch a video on the couch. Take on an assessment from the other side of the world. It’s up to you.
By letting you tailor your learning experience, we put the power in your hands and give you the best chance to shine.
Monarch remains committed to the university tradition of independent academia – a major point of difference among industry trainers. The institute is governed by an academic board made up of nine respected academics and tertiary education experts. This independent board, chaired by Emeritus Professor Keith Houghton, is crucial to the academic integrity of Monarch’s courses and ensures that student needs are given priority. The Board of Directors, is chaired by Dr John Beggs, former head of Commonwealth Bank’s Equities and Australia’s largest retail stockbroker CommSec.
Monarch Institute has previously developed training programs to meet the demands of organisations large and small, our most recent course developments have been in partnership with Domino’s, Sovereign Hill, Deloitte and the Institute of Public Accountants. Our Graduates are now working in leading companies like KPMG, Accenture, AMP, Toll, Linfox, Oracle, and IBM. The four largest employers of Monarch graduates are the Commonwealth Bank, NAB, Deloitte and the ANZ Bank.
Monarch has strategic partnerships and student pathways with two leading universities – the University of New England and Deakin University. It’s our industry connections and agility set us apart from other providers – collaborating with industry to create better training and education options.
