Managing the balance
Online learning shouldn’t be a chore. It should be something you enjoy doing, at a pace that suits you. But for some people, the idea of studying whilst working full time, and having a social life, can be off-putting.
‘I have always wanted to study, however didn’t want to give up full-time work or my lifestyle in order to do so. Online study has provided me with the flexibility to balance my busy work & social life. I love the fact that I’m able to effectively use the time on my morning commute as well as lunch break in order to study. The content I am learning compliments my job and allows me to get more involved in meetings as well as have a greater understanding of why & how.”
Tianni has recently completed the Certified Digital Marketing Professional (CDMP) course, and after such a positive experience she has enrolled in Monarch’s Diploma of Social Media Marketing.
“I used to think that marketing was just posting to your social channels every few days, but I know now that it’s so much more than that! I’ve learned so much about digital marketing, and I’m absolutely loving the Diploma of Social Media Marketing course. It’s packed with real-life examples and I feel so confident going to a prospective employer now, and showing them some of the content I’ve created as part of my assignments. The Diploma has well and truly opened up doors for me in terms of my career.”
Tianni was concerned about fitting in her studies with the rest of her life. She found the best thing about Monarch’s courses was that she could start anytime.
“I have such a passion for the content I am learning, I look forward to sitting down and getting my head into the course content. I was apprehensive about studying as I did not want to give up exercise, socialising or time at work, but I’ve found that online learning suits me really well. It has given me the ability to balance everything I would like to, at the same time developing professionally.”
