Course Topics

You’ll need to study a total of 10 units, which are spread out over four modules.


Module 1

Digital marketing fundamentals

There are two things that every digital marketer needs to know about – how to make data-driven decisions, and craft compelling content that customers can’t resist. In your first module, you’ll learn how to use essential web analytics tools like Google Analytics, and develop a killer content strategy for digital platforms.


Module 2

Search engine secrets

For this module you will focus on search engines. These are a key channel for digital marketers today, given Google is the most visited website in the world! Across two units, you will learn all about driving traffic organically with Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and develop Search Engine Marketing (SEM) skills to set you up as a paid search pro.


Module 3

Champion of channels

Next, you will expand your knowledge and become a digital marketing champion across even more channels and platforms. You’ll learn how to create clickable display and video advertising for platforms like Google Ads and YouTube, and master the art of email marketing. Then you’ll sharpen your social media skills, through perfecting both paid and organic approaches.


Module 4

Next level skills

In this final module, you will gain advanced skills in optimising a website using User experience (UX) and User interface (UI) principles, and test their usability using digital tools. You will also be equipped with the strategic and high-level planning knowledge required to develop complex digital marketing plans and budgets.

Course Duration

This course is designed to be completed within 18 months however Monarch’s training plan allows you to take up to 24 months. You’re expected to complete at least one module every six months.

There is no minimum timeframe to complete this course. Students who are highly motivated and well organised can complete the full course at an accelerated pace.

This course has been developed to give you absolute flexibility. Study on your couch, on public transport, on your break at work, out in the park – wherever and whenever you like. The best part is, with Monarch Institute, ‘online’ doesn’t mean ‘alone’. You’ll be backed by our trainers at every step along the way.


What support will I get?

Your trainer will be happy to contact you via phone, Zoom, or email (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5.30pm). So you definitely won’t feel alone. You’ll also have access to our student Facebook groups, so you can discuss the material with other students. It’s a handy way to stay in touch with trainers and others in the same course.

$3,950 (total)

The most cost-effective option. Pay up front and save 20% compared to the total payment plan. Payment options include electronic funds transfer (EFT), credit card (Mastercard or Visa), cheque or cash.


Payment plan

$182.30 per week, paid over 26 weeks (total $4,740)

This option is suitable for people wanting to manage their cash flow. It’s handy if you want to get started right away, but don’t have the full amount on hand. Payment must be made with MasterCard or Visa.

I’ve worked in various digital marketing and business development roles for regional airlines, hotels and cruise liners. I managed a hot air balloon business, Global Ballooning Australia which took me around the world as I helped launch the experience to the international market.  I penned what I learned in a self-published book, Adventures of a Balloon Girl.

In 2014 I followed my calling to teach and became a certified trainer and assessor launching my own training and mentoring practice. Since launching I have developed over 30 online and group training programs specialising in digital, social media marketing, and tourism. Creating and delivering these programs to empower business owners and marketing professionals to be their own media and step up their marketing greatness fills me up.

What gets me out of bed in the morning?

Igniting excellence in people! I love spending time with my family and using all the digital tools available to help business and careers grow. What really gets me out of bed most mornings though is my 4.30am alarm. I love to start the day with a morning run or strength training to keep me fit and energised.
